The purpose of the work is the development and investigation of the laws governing the semiconductor converters, which make it possible to realize close to a single power factor of the converter, and the current consumption meets the requirements for the quality of the consumed electricity. Research methods - in solving the problems posed, the following were used: the theory of electrical circuits, systems of differential and algebraic equations in the analysis of electromagnetic processes; numerical methods of integration; method of harmonic analysis (Fourier series expansion) for determining the values of harmonic current of the network. The main tools for modeling and developing circuits were the Matlab Simulink and Mahtcad software packages. Results of work - ways of increasing the power factor of converters of alternating voltage to constant are investigated. The ways of reducing the distortion of the current consumed from the network are investigated. The revealed conditions for minimization of power equipment and related costs of scarce materials due to optimization of circuit solutions and control laws of the converter and converter system based on it. Forecasting proposals - further development of a physical model of a 24-pulse rectifier with electronic phase shift is planned.
