DIGITAL TERRAIN MODEL, SATELLITE RADAR INTERFEROMETRY, SENTINEL-1, PRECISION ESTIMATION, CORRECTION, SPECIAL SOFTWARE MODULE The object of the research is the methods of digital terrain models (DTM) formation based on satellite radar interferometry. The purpose of the research is the development of precision DTM data formation technique based on satellite radar interferometry. Research methods - the theory of coherent radiolocation, landscape morphometry, regression analysis, mathematical statistics. A review of the necessary input data for obtaining a precision DTM has been carried out. The theoretical rationale and methodology for DTM formation based on Sentinel-1 satellite radar interferometry data using SNAP / SNAPHU tools are described. Models were considered and a ground verification method was proposed, accuracy estimates and corrections of the received DTMs were proposed. Olso the requirements for verifying ground points and the procedure for determining control points were formulated. A test sample is provided for processing Sentinel-1 products to obtain a precision DTM. The developed method allows to increase the vertical accuracy of DTM by about - from tens to several meters of error for flat terrain: according to the results of preliminary testing - from 23 .. 28 m to 1.2 .. 3.8 m compared to the standard method of constructing DTM with data from Sentinel-1 radar interferometry.
