The purpose of the work is the development and improvement of the normative and technical base of the road economy on traffic safety, bringing the domestic normative base to the requirements of the terms of association of Ukraine with the European Union. The research method is to harmonize the requirements on traffic safety regulations by developing an album of typical design solutions for traffic management on pedestrian crossings and transport interchanges with all necessary calculations, explanations and justifications. The urgency of the development is the fulfillment of the requirements of the Association Agreement of Article 56, paragraph 8, between Ukraine, in one part and the European Union, the European Atomic Energy Community and their State-Members, on the other part, concluded at Brussels on the twenty-first of March, two thousand fourteenth, ratified with the statement of the Law of Ukraine of 16.09.2014 № 1678-VIІ, as well as requirements of Articles 9 and 27 of the Law of Ukraine "On Traffic".
