Processes of structure formation, compaction, homogenization and strengthening of titanium PT5 powders, titanium alloys ВТ3-1, ВТ8 in the sintered state, powder alloy of the Ti-Zr-Nb system, as well as processes of screw extrusion and torsion under high pressure. Objective. To study the effect of simple bias parameters on the physical characteristics of powdered titanium alloys and to create a methodology for the optimal design of the screw extrusion process. Method of research. Optical, transmission and scanning electron microscopy, X-ray spectral energy-dispersive and X-ray diffraction analysis, hydrostatic weighing, durometry. Computer data processing. Mathematical modeling by the finite element method. Results. It has been established that at a certain level of back pressure, the process of screw extrusion makes it possible to compact titanium powders to almost theoretical (97-98.5%) values of the relative density. It is shown that torsion at high pressure of the 51Zr-31Ti-18Nb powder alloy eliminates its chemical inhomogeneity, which persists after sintering, provides a significant reduction in total porosity (from 7.2% to 0.02%) and individual pore sizes (from 50 -80 mkm to 50-100 nm), and also leads to a significant increase in the hardness of the alloy from 170-180 HV to 350-370 HV. A technique for the optimal design of the screw extrusion process has been developed. Forecasting the use of the results of work. The results of the work can be used to create new titanium alloys with improved mechanical and operational properties, in particular new materials for medical and aviation purposes, as well as for the development of resource-saving technological processes for the production of semiproducts of complex-alloyed titanium alloys for aviation and rocket and space technology.
