The purpose of the work is to develop the technology of distributed power transmission to vehicles with the use of active filtering, which reduce the power losses in traction networks. Research methods - experimental and analytical. As a result of the performed researches, were proposed and theoretically approved the scientific principles of construction of modern energy-efficient systems of distributed DC traction power supply taking into account of electromagnetic compatibility with adjacent low-energy railway transport systems and with external power supply systems. It was proposed the simulation model. On the basis of this model was carried out experimental research on existing sections of electrified railways to confirm model' adequacy. Based on this model, were defined the practical recommendations for assessing the energy efficiency of traction power supply systems and the development of criteria for their technical and economic evaluation and comparison with the use of different circuitry.
