It has been shown that woody plants affect the climate. They reduce the high air temperatures in the summer, change the radiation and temperature regimes, increase the humidity of the air, protect the adjacent areas from the negative effects of winds. We investigated pure photosynthesis by assimilation of CO2 in 5 model species in the Botanical Garden named after. acad. O.V. Fomin in the heat. We found that the highest intensity of pure photosynthesis was observed in Acer velutinum, the lowest was Magnolia kobus, and in Catalpa ovata, Ginkgo biloba and Liriodendron chinense was average. The most stable of the species studied under conditions of heat was Ginkgo biloba.
