The subject of the study is the peculiarities of professional support of specialists of risky direction. The goal is to develop theoretical, methodological and practical approaches to improve the psychological support of professional activities of specialists of risky occupations. The basic scientific approaches to understanding of psychological support of subjects of professional activity are singled out. The role of psychological support in forecasting professional success of specialists of risky professions is established. A theoretical analysis of viability and self-regulation of a personality is carried out. The influence of self-regulation on the level of viability of specialists is established. The individual psychological peculiarities of the staff of the SNS of Ukraine with different levels of viability are determined. A corrective program for the development of self-regulation ability for future specialists has been developed and tested. The results of the research work were used during classes with NUTZU cadets.
