Objectives are to determine the fundamental principles of SOW conversion and catalytic conversion of volatiles in the bed of the produced coke and Ni-catalyst. Methods of research are standard methods for studying solid fuels and new methods for evaluating the processes of air gasification of SOW and steam coal. The processes of gasification of a mixture of Ukrainian substandard caking steam coal and wood coal in a dense bed with a downward flow of gas have been studied. А conversion chamber has been added into the zone of partial oxidation of the gasifier for an increase in the gasification efficiency in 1.5 times and a decrease in the content of high-molecular compounds (HMС) in the produced gas to 90%. The fundamental characteristics of gasification processes in the downward dense bed of paper waste, sunflower husk, wood, pellets from wood waste, and a mixture of synthesized (PET) and natural (wood waste) polymers are determined. A decrease in the HMС content in the produced gas was achieved due to their oxidation by air oxygen in the partial oxidation zone and in the catalyst bed - hot coke, obtained from SOW. For the final decrease in the HMС content, a catalytic reactor with a Ni-catalyst of the L.V. Pysarzhevsky Institute of Physical Chemistry of National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine was created. After analyzing the experimental data, there were developed principle circuits of cogeneration power plant with SOW gasification with an electric power of 2.9 kW using an electric generator with an internal combustion engine and of 7.1 kW using a fuel cell electrochemical generator. The process of air and steam-air gasification using the Tesla Cut 40 plasma torch has been developed. In the new process, the plasma-air flow fed into the pyrolysis zone above the partial oxidation zone of the gasifier with a downward flow of gas. Product Description popup.authors Дудник О. М.
