The purpose of this stage of the research is to carry out a comprehensive historical and economic analysis in the complexity and contradictory nature of the industry of Soviet Ukraine in the conditions of the new economic policy and industrialization of the USSR, based on archival and published sources, modern literature, periodicals, modern means of information provision; a comprehensive analysis of the social policy of the Soviet state, its implementation in the Donbas in the mid-1960s - the mid-1980s, its implementation in relation to different social strata, compliance with the needs of the population of the studied region; studying on the basis of modern methodological views the formation of prerequisites for a powerful social conflict between the state and miners of the Ukrainian SSR, its development and results, change of the orientation of the historical process under the influence of the miners' struggle; a comprehensive analysis of the development of the Tories and Bakhmut salt crafts since the foundation of the XVI-XVII centuries. and their evolution during the XVIII-XIX centuries; studying the peculiarities of life in industrialized regions of Ukraine during the period of the 1917-1920's revolution; ethnic history of Southeast Ukraine during the XVIII-XX centuries. The results of scientific research will help to develop the methodological basis for in-depth study of the main problems of Ukrainian history, promote the identification of new trends in the research of industrial development, and their content, in many respects, complements scientific knowledge on the history of the reconstruction of the national economy and industrialization of the USSR. Applied aspects of the research can be used in the course of economic reforms. taking into account the shortcomings and mistakes made during the years of the new economic policy and Soviet industrialization; for in-depth analysis and development of the theory of transition economics; at the writing of general university courses on the history of Ukraine of the twentieth century, economic history, the preparation of special courses for students, as well as in the preparation of encyclopedic publications, fundamental scientific works, the new state project "The history of cities and villages of Ukraine"; the content of the study in many respects complements the scientific knowledge of the history of the final period of stay of the USSR in the USSR and the struggle of the Ukrainian people for state sovereignty.
