The details of the aggressively technological impact on mass consciousness are revealed, which provoked the events of the "Russian spring". Based on the materials of the local press, claims are formalized, submitted to Ukraine by the self-proclaimed republics. The existential foundations of the Eastern Ukrainian conflict are revealed. The role of the ideology of the "Russian world" in the escalation of tension in the Donbass is determined. The prospects of the military and non-military solutions to the conflict are assessed. The main principles of the "road map" for overcoming the East-Ukrainian conflict are being built. A Ukrainian-Polish collective monograph "Hybrid war: in verbo et in praxi", published in the course of this research work, is dedicated to clarifying the nature of hybrid aggression against Ukraine. During the implementation of the second phase of the research, a "road map" for conflict resolution was developed, which includes three mandatory steps: 1) localization of the conflict and ceasefire, 2) political stabilization of the region, and 3) humanitarian rehabilitation. It is demonstrated that the military way in itself does not solve any social problems, he only creates them. Restoring peace after a conflict in a particular region is possible only through painstaking political work, which requires a whole range of measures, including preventive diplomacy, crisis management, peacemaking, post-conflict rehabilitation, and the like.
