The purpose of the work is to obtain quantitative parameters for rural population life quality and radiation safety assessment and to develop practical recommendations for the revival of radioactive contaminated territories by growing traditional and new high-energy crops strategy. The object of the study - the processes of radionuclide in trophic chains migration, which largely result in to the population exposure. The subject of the study is the concentration of radionuclides in soils, food products of vegetable, animal and forest origin in the territories of the 2nd and 3rd radioactive contamination zones. Methods of research - traditional methods of radioecological (spectrometric) monitoring in accordance with existing normative documents (GOST, methodical instructions), approved methods of soil, water, plants and products sampling; dialectical method of cognition; system approach; observation; experiment; economic analysis; abstract-logical method; sociological method. It has been established that in the remote post-accident period the radiological situation in the rural settlements of the Polissya of Zhytomyr region has changed for the better, however, there remain certain critical areas that are radiation-dangerous for the population to inhabitance. An estimation of the radionuclides concentration has been carried out based on integrated soils, plant, animal and forest origin products monitoring, and the ways of their penetration into food rations of inhabitants of critical human settlements, which are included in the 2nd and 3rd zones of radioactive contamination, are determined. It has been revealed that the socio-economic conditions of radioactive contaminated settlements rural residents are worse than those on conditionally clean territories. The structure of rural population nutrition is unbalanced and to a large extent represented by products produced in subsidiary farming and forestry origin, which poses a radiological danger to their health. The mathematical model of the radionuclides in the agricultural products cultivation on radioactive contaminated areas in a remote post-accident period behavior has been proposed, agricultural products radioactive contamination dynamics prognosis has been done. Rural population in radioactively contaminated territories eco-safe residence structural-logical model, based on the communication between rural communities and macro-entities in order to study the needs of the population development, its life conditions, appropriate mechanisms for the ecologically safe living conditions formation development and implementation has been designed. Organizational and economic mechanism of industrial, economic and social relations on the territory of radioactive contamination has been grounded and restoration a road map of its implementation the roadmap for its implementation has been developed. The results of the scientific research are used to inform the various state branches and the population about the level of 137Cs concentration in food products of plant, animal and forest origin and the present state of radiation safety of the rural population in radioactively contaminated territories. Keywords: radioactive contaminated areas, life quality, rural areas, внутрішні дози опромінення, 137Cs specific activity, social infrastructure, socio-economic processes, organizational and economic mechanism.
