The aim of the work is to create the State Primary Standard of units of the gas flow and flow rate over the pressure range of 1 MPa to 5 MPa that will provide the metrological traceability of the gas flow and flow rate measurements for the first time in the country (primarily for natural gas), enable metrological verification and calibration, at operating conditions under high pressure of the working fluid, of gas meters and gas flow meters used for the custody transfer of gases and natural gas. With current situation at the national gas market, rigid economy presuming accurate and reliable accounting of gas is a priority task for assuring sustainable development and energy independence of the state which may be accomplished when the State Primary Standard of units of the gas flow and flow rate over the pressure range of 1 MPa to 5 MPa, to be created as a whole for the first time as the result of the R&D work, is available.
