The purpose of the study - development of scientific-methodological support (content, methods, organizational forms and means) of teaching Ukrainian literature in high school on the basis of competence, personality-oriented and activity approaches. The study was carried out using the following methods: a) theoretical - systemic analysis of the literary, psychological, pedagogical, methodological sources of normative educational documents, existing programs, textbooks and manuals on the research problem with the aim of reaching bonatto apparatus and determine the theoretical and methodological foundations of the study; method of theoretical modeling to develop methods of teaching Ukrainian literature in high school based on student-centered, competency and activity approaches; b) empirical diagnostic (questionnaire, interviews with teachers and students) and observational methods (observation of the teaching process, attend lessons of Ukrainian literature, the analysis of oral and written responses, creative work of students) to determine the status of the research problem in school practice, development of criteria of efficiency of the experimental procedure; method of pedagogical experiment (ascertaining and forming stages); the analysis of the results of the pilot study are to obtain reliable quantitative and qualitative characteristics of its effectiveness. The extracted results of scientific research: - developed and tested an innovative scientific and methodological support: a) the concept of literary education in high school, which sets out the key approaches to the study of Ukrainian literature: - building a course of literary education on the basis of "citizenization paradigm of the study of literature" (O. Isayev); organization of teaching the Ukrainian literature on the basis of active, student-centered, competency-based, culturological and axiological approaches; - study works of art first of all as an aesthetic phenomenon, a form of social consciousness, the artistic direction of a certain era; - focusing teachers and students on the importance of text processing, mastery of various reading strategies, Delone ability to work with text, the formation of the subjectivity of the student-reader, reading competency, the basis for which are organizational activity skills; b) a training program for Ukrainian literature for grades 10-11 (baseline), in which the history of literature is treated as a search history, forms and means of displaying changes in the worldview and the worldview of the person of a certain age, understanding of its place in society, the desire for harmony with the world and with itself; the subject knowledge and skills are seen as a means of reading and personal development of the student, with emphasis on the formation of the reader's subjectivity; a dedicated activity line, which is implemented through the system of formation obshcheuchebnyh abilities; C) textbook and readings on Ukrainian literature, in which practically implement the ideas of the Concept of literary education in high school. The textbook authors as a means of self-education, the formation of the reader's (subject and General training) and key competences of reading and personal self-development. Priority for educational books defined objectives: to help the learner to know and understand myself as a person and reader; the world: ambient and artistic works (in the author's evaluation and judgment of the characters); its place in the world; secondly, to teach them to produce and apply knowledge, to build and implement individual reading program, to develop critical thinking, to try yourself in different life roles, be prepared to constantly learn, change and adapt; third, to help the teacher to organize teaching the Ukrainian literature on the basis of student-centered, competency and activity approaches; - created and tested an experimental method of teaching Ukrainian literature grade 10 students (basic level) on the basis of competence, personality-oriented and activity approaches, which is implemented in the textbook "Ukrainian literature. 10 class" (basic level). The essence of the method consists in creation of optimum conditions for formation of the reader's (subject and inter-subject) and key competences (communicative, ICT, learning to learn etc.), the development of the student as a subject of reading and personal self-development. This is achieved by transforming the content of educational material, typology and structure of the lesson that provides the absorption studied on dalmini basis; treatment of active and interactive methods and learning technologies: design, debate, role-playing, etc; an optimum combination of collective, pair-group, and individual activities of the student; based on his subjective experience, focusing on the development of organizational and activity-related skills. The set of marked methodological approaches ensures the real participation of the student in the educational process and contributes to the formation of his subjectivity as the basis of competences. - fleshed out the structure of reader's competence; introduced to the conceptual field definition "the information and reading competence"; the necessity of determining reading competency as subject and Sahalinenergo, the allocation in the curriculum cross-cutting activity lines; - a list of criteria of estimation of conformity of Ukrainian literature textbook principles of student-centered and competence-based learning: the content of the textbook is a writer first and foremost as a person and a work of art as an aesthetic phenomenon; the author's text and tasks direct the attention of the disciple on himself as a person and reader, forming the need for self-education and self-improvement, development of skills to manage their reading activity; the tutorial clearly defined objectives of the training material, defined academic route, recommendations on training activities and criteria for assessing its effectiveness; the possibility of different forms of organization of learning activities (individual, pair, group, collective), etc.; - prepared manuscript conception of literary education in high school (1,0), educational program "Ukrainian literature. 10-11" (basic level) (2,0), of the textbook "Ukrainian literature. 10 class" (basic level) (15,0), the anthology "readings in Ukrainian literature. 10 class" (basic level) (15,0). The results of research work are implemented in the two educational programs in Ukrainian literature for classes 10 and 11 (standard level and advanced level), designed by research staff of the division in the labour group of the Ministry of education and science of Ukraine. The theoretical novelty of the research is to study theoretical and methodological foundations of teaching Ukrainian literature in high school subject to certain State standard approaches; the development and testing of methods of teaching Ukrainian literature in high school on the basis of competence, personality-oriented and activity approaches; the preparation and implementation of teaching Ukrainian literature in grade 10 (basic level) innovative scientific and methodological support, tailored to the educational tasks of the modern school literary education. The practical significance of the research work. The results of a study aimed at improving the quality of school literary education by improving the organization of the process of teaching Ukrainian literature in high school on the basis of competence, personality-oriented and activity approaches and can be used in the process of teaching Ukrainian literature in high school, at courses of improvement of qualification of teachers-philologists, OPPO, in teaching special techniques of higher educational establishments of different accreditation levels. About the effectiveness of the undertaken research work show compliance with the results of modern achievements of pedagogical, psychological, methodological Sciences and socio-cultural challenges of the time; the task of the modern school literary education in the formation of a competent student reader; the positive results of monitoring of introduction of experimental methods of teaching Ukrainian literature in grade 10 (basic level) secondary schools, information about the implementation of the results of a study published in experimental secondary schools. Social impact research is that the actual results will be aimed at improving the quality of school literary education, more comfortable and effective socialisation of pupils, development of creative student-reader with a high level of General culture, national consciousness, active civil position, high human and national values; the training of competitive graduates, capable of learning throughout life.
