A conclusion is made about humanistic dimension of the transformations in the education of Ukraine at the present stage. It is revealed that decentralization in education is aimed at taking into account local interests in the areas of management models, selection and structuring education content, financial support; synchronization of the development of education in Ukraine with the world trends in the aspect of standardization is proved; challenges characterizing the current state of differentiated learning in the Ukrainian school revealed. It is stated that the directions of the transformations of school education in Ukraine (decentralization of education, introduction of a 12-year school, transformation of education into the competence base, standardization of content, differentiation of teaching) are synchronized with the educational transformations in the EU countries and US.
