The purpose of the work is to substantiate the requirements of normative documents in the spheres of construction and civil protection to protective structures and the development of the draft Amendment No. 3 to ДБН В 2.2-5-97 (DBN V 2.2-5-97) "Buildings and structures. Civil defence protective structures" The research method is analytical (analysis of literary sources and the Internet information network). National and international legal acts, normative documents and other sources of information on the design of civil protection protective structures, double purpose structures, rapidly erected protective structures have been analyzed, and some of the requirements and provisions of ДБН В 2.2-5-97 (DBN V 2.2-5-97) have been found inconsistent with legislation and the composition and content Amendments have been scientifically justified. Based on the results of the researches, requirements for the design and construction of double purpose structures and rapidly erected protective structures have been developed and individual requirements of ДБН В 2.2-5-97 (DBN V 2.2-5-97) with provisions of existing legislative, legal acts and normative documents on the design of buildings and structures have been settled. Application of Amendment No. 3 of ДБН В 2.2-5-97 (DBN V 2.2-5-97) will help to ensure an effective level of protection of the population in peacetime in case of man-made and natural emergencies and in a special period.
