The examination included duplex cervical arteries sonography, duplex renal arteries sonography, orbital vessels sonography, echocardiography. We established the aspects of injury of target organs depending from the patients' age, illness duration and the degree of glycemic compensation. Endothelial dysfunction, cartotid stenosis, decrease of intrarenal blood flow, modification of orbital flow (increase of flow velocity in orbital arteries together with increased venous flow in central retinal vein), diastolic dysfunction are revealed even in relatively compensated glycemia (HbA1с < 7%) and worsen with the increase of the duration of the disease and decompensation of glycemia.
