First of all, objects from ocher, ochre stained artifacts, engraved bone objects, mostly from sites aged between 30 and 40,000 years ago, were collected and analyzed. The search was expanded in the chronological sense and sense of the materials used. This gave unique data. The data concerning the technical and morphological parameters of revealed natural pigments from Prolom II was accumulated, features of their transformation and utilisation were studied, and specificity of raw materials was characterized. As a result of the continued total revision of collections, a number of new bright objects of non-utilitarian activity of the Crimean Neanderthals have been revealed.
