Historical sources of its elements, their transformation (under the influence of modernization, sovietization, globalization) and reduction (due to loss of functions) in the 20th - the beginning of the 21th century are traced. On the basis of mapping of the cultural phenomena in the territory of ethnographic Volhynia the internal division of territory into subareas is proposed. The results of the study allows: to confirm the Ukrainian character of the territory of ethnographic Volhynia; to correlate historical, ethnographic, and dialectological zoning of these territories; to conduct scientific and educational activities in the humanitarian sphere among the general public.
