Research objective - complex study of physical mechanisms which determine work efficiency of different types of plasma-dynamical (plasma-optical) and plasma-chemical systems operating under conditions of low (to 10-5 Torr) and atmospheric pressure. Research methods - complex experimental studies using common and upgraded electro-physical and optical methods, building physical and mathematical models of the processes under study, numerical simulations and comparing their results with experimental ones. Results of complex experimental and theoretical studies of physical processes in chemically active low temperature plasma in low-frequency and high-frequency discharges on different gas mixtures at atmospheric pressure are obtained. Theoretical concepts are developed and numerical models are upgraded that describe kinetical features of the plasmas of low- and mid-pressure discharges on different gas mixtures. For the first time, effect of fast electrons in micro-droplet fraction removal from low-energy dense ion-plasma flow from erosion sources is proposed, theoretically justified and experimentally confirmed. Peculiarities of quasi-stationary axially symmetric flows of dense highly conductive weakly dissipative metal plasmas in plasma-optical systems with non-equipotential electrodes and magnetic isolation of electrons are studied theoretically and experimentally. Hall-effect ion accelerator with open walls is proposed and studied. Physical and mathematical models are built, and numerical simulations are conducted that are in a good agreement with the experiment. Physical processes defining formation, focusing and manipulating intense beams of negatively charged particles, electrons and ions in plasma-dynamical systems with positive space charge are studied. Results of basic physical researches are published in 38 articles, including 13 in foreign journals, also 33 publications are done in books of abstracts of the international conferences. All tasks corresponding to work plan of B-168 project are successfully completed. Obtained scientific results can be efficiently used in education process at respective Ukrainian high school specialties and also in further scientific researches and technological developments.
