Objective: To study the physico-chemical patterns of pre-membrane water purification. Research methods: photocolorimetric, spectrophotometric, high-temperature oxidation on a platinum catalyst. Main results: Physicochemical regularities in the removal of humic acids by dynamic membranes based on aluminum and iron hydroxo compounds have been studied. It is shown that in the pH range 3.5-8.8, the maximum retention capacity of dynamic membranes with respect to humic acids is observed at pH 8.8. For dynamic membranes from iron hydroxide, it reaches 96.1% by TOC, the color of the solutions decreases by 98.7%, and for membranes from aluminum hydroxide - at 95% by TOC and by 96%, respectively, the chromaticity decreases. A microfiltration mechanism has been established in accordance with which this process with a sequential transition from filtration with gradual capping in each porous porridge is in the process of filtration with the formation of a precipitate on the surface of the microfiltration membrane. The expediency of using ceramic microfiltration membranes from clay minerals for wastewater treatment with increased and high turbidity is shown.
