The degree of embryotoxicity of lead acetate with isolated injection and the modifying effect of metal citrates on the toxicity of lead acetate during combined administration have been determined experimentally. The reduction of the embryotoxicity and organoleptic properties of lead acetate was found and the patent for utility model No. 94515 "А way for decreasing the embryotoxicity of selinate acetate" was obtained. For the first time, experimental studies were conducted to detect the embryotoxicity of excess doses of lead acetate by main indicators: preimplantation mortality, post-implantation mortality, overall embryonic mortality, and investigated teratogenicity of lead acetate in isolated administration and with combination of lead acetate and metal citrates. The influence of these factors on cardiogenesis in rats has been determined. According to the results of research, 23 acts of introduction into the scientific work of the departments of medical institutions of Ukraine were obtained.
