The purpose of the work is to improve the technology of manufacturing mass from stabilized zirconium dioxide. Methods of researches are chemical, petrographical, XRD, physical-mechanical ones. The study of the influence of the amount of orthophosphoric acid on the basic indexes of properties, phase composition and structure of samples of zirconium dioxide mass, stabilized CaO, after heat treatment up to 2000 °С, has been carried out. According to the complex of properties of samples after heat treatment, which are characterized by the highest indicators, an optimal amount of band from orthophosphoric acid has been established. The influence of the micronized baddeleyite powder of the new brand PB-HOM, which was introduced instead of vibromilled powder of the mark PB-0, on the basic parameters of the properties of samples of zirconium dioxide mass, stabilized CaO, on orthophosphoric acid after thermal treatment, has been studied. The advantage of using the baddeleyite powder of the brand PB-HОM has been established: the time of its milling is 3 times less that of PB-0 powder, and the chisel of iron is also reduced by 3 times, which is an important factor for refractories with a service temperature of up to 2350 °C. During the release of pilot batch in PJSC "THE URIR NAMED AFTER A. S. BEREZHNOY" the technology of making a mixture of powders based on zirconium dioxide, stabilized with a combined additive of CaO and MgO, for the ramming mixture of the brand SМCКМN-93 was mastered. The following pilot batches have been manufactured in PJSC "THE URIR NAMED AFTER A. S. BEREZHNOY": mixtures of powders for the ramming mixture of the brand SМCN-93 and the refractory mortar of the brand MC-93-1 and MCК-93 with characteristics of properties that meet the requirements of the technical specifications (TS); powders for plasma spraying of brands:PCPК-40 and PCPК-63 with indexes of properties that meet the requirements TS; magnesia-chromite powder fraction < 1 mm with indicators of properties that meet the requirements of the consumer. These refractory products have been delivered to consumers on the internal and external markets. The work shall be continued in the direction of further improvement of the technology of manufacturing masses from stabilized zirconium dioxide, expanding the volumes of their production and application.
