The purpose of the work is to mastering of the manufacturing corundum-spinel plugs technology of a new standard size for bottom blowing of metal in steel-casting ladles. Methods of research are chemical, physical-mechanical ones. Due to the perceived need equipment to equip the steel-casting ladles at PJSC "Zaporizhstal", a design was developed and tooling for molding of a new standard size were developed for the formation by vibrocasing method of corundum-spinel blowing plug in the form of a truncated cone of 240 mm in height, with the upper and lower diameters of 100 and 150 mm, respectively. When manufacturing of trial lot of corundum-spinel blowing plugs for the steel-casting ladles, the technology has been developed and the production of blowing plugs with a new standard size and the characteristics of the properties that correspond to the requirements of PPSK marks on TU has been mastered. The trial lots of PPSK mark plugs for the bottom blowing of metal were manufactured and supplied to metallurgical enterprises of Ukraine for use in steel-casting ladles. The work should be continued in the direction of improving the technology of production of blowing plugs and expanding of their production and use.
