The purpose of the work is improving of alumina-zirconia-silica and alumina-chromia-zirconia-silica refractories technologies. The research methods are chemical, spectral, petrographical, standard methods for determination of mass's moisture, apparent density, water absorption, open porosity, cold crushing strength, of change in linear dimensions on heating, of permanent change in dimensions on heating and thermal shock resistance of refractories. The technology of alumina-zirconia-silica and alumina-chromia-zirconia-silica refractories was improved. The research of grain part of mix fractional composition, represented by electrofused corundum of 2.0-0.5 and less than 0.5 mm fractions influence, on apparent density of raw and properties of fired alumina-zirconia-silica and alumina-chromia-zirconia-silica refractories samples was carried out. The optimum ratio of 2.0-0.5 and less than 0.5 mm fractions in mix is established. It is shown that usage of metallurgical and pigmental chromic oxide or the complete replacement of chromic oxide with sludge formed during the mechanical treatment of chromium oxide products is expedient for the manufacture of alumina-chromia-zirconia-silica refractories of KHCS-30 and KHCS-15 brands from mix of optimal grain composition. The developed mix compositions allow to increase the efficiency of raw material - electrofused corundum usage in the manufacture of alumina-zirconia-silica and alumina-chromia-zirconia-silica refractories. Influence of the material composition of corundum and mullite-corundum mortars with usage of hydratation-hardening and heat-hardening astringents on thickness of the seam and shear strength of alumina-zirconia-silica samples after heat treatment at a temperature of 110, 500 and 1000 °C was researched. It was established that the optimum is mullite-corundum mortar with usage of heat-hardening astringent. In addition, it was shown that firing of glued alumina-zirconia-silica products in the form of tuyeres is expediently carried out at a temperature of 1000 °C. In accordance with the regulatory documents requirements and contract conditions in the pilot plant of PJSC "URIR NAMED AFTER A. S. BEREZHNOY" are produced and transferred to consumers trial lots of refractories for companies of Ukraine and Republic of Belarus. The work should in the direction of future improvement of alumina-zirconia-silica and alumina-chromia-zirconia-silica refractories technologies and expansion of application branches of chromic oxide, alumina-chromia, alumina-zirconia-silicate and alumina-chromia-zirconia-silica refractories.
