The purpose of the work is an improved production technology mastering of the mullite corundum castable. The research methods are chemical, petrographic, thermomechanical ones. Taking into attention the results of researches, which had been carried out, in PJSC "The URIR NAMED AFTER A.S. BEREZHNOY" the improved production technology of the mullite corundum castable grade of "MКBC" with reduced content of high alumina cement brand of "VGTS-73" has been mastered. The amount decreasing of the high alumina cement promotes to strength increasing of samples from the indicated castable after thermal treatment at a temperature of 1450 °С by 44 % (from 104 up to 150 N/mm2) and thermal shock resistance by 30 % (from 7 up to 9 thermal cycles) at preservation of long working time. The improved mullite corundum castable grade of "MКBC" was intended for tests in the lining of hot blast valves at one from machinebuilding plants of Ukraine. The disadvantages at exploitation of the improved mullite corundum castable grade of "MКBC" haven't been observed. In accordance with the existing normative documentation in PJSC "The URIR NAMED AFTER A.S. BEREZHNOY" the pilot batches of corundum brand of "СКpl-94-1", mullite corundum brand of "МКBС" and chamotte brand of "СSHBD" castables and high alumina cement brand of "VGTS-73" have been produced. Besides, with using of the chamotte castable, the refractory products have been produced. The work shall be continued in the line of production technology improvement of the castables, as well as expanding of production and application values of the corundum, mullite corundum, chamotte castables and refractory products based on them.
