The methods of phase transformations of weakly magnetic iron oxides and hydroxides (hematite, goethite) into highly-magnetic minerals under the influence of three types of reducing agents were developed: water medium - reduction by iron (II) salts, dry medium - reduction by carbohydrates under the influence of temperature, gas medium - reduction by carbon monoxide. Optimal characteristics of external factors (duration, temperature, concentration of reducing agents) of such transformations were defined. The laboratory facilities for low-energy transformation of weakly magnetic iron oxides/hydroxides into strongly magnetic iron oxides were created. The novelty of the results obtained is that the process of phase transformation does not require high temperatures, expensive reagents and occurs during one stage.
