This technology significantly increases the strength and hardness of gray cast iron. Processing of the melt with this modifier in an amount of up to 5-6 % of the mass of the melt increases the strength of gray cast iron to almost the level of high-strength cast irons (about 490 MPa) and is accompanied by an increase in the depth of bleaching (and, accordingly, its hardness and wear resistance) to 12 mm with a maximum nitrogen content in the alloy up to 0.03 %.
