The subject of the study is: the issue of migration in the Ukraine-EU relations; the development of a free trade zone with the European Union as a driver of the Europeanization of Ukrainian legislation; development of cooperation between Ukraine and the EU on countering information threats; the economic consequences of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU. The purpose of the work is to form the latest national innovation system aimed at modernizing the foreign policy, international, informational, economic and security activities of the state; disclosure of the peculiarities of legal regulation of Ukraine's relations with the European Union within the framework of establishing an association and identifying legal issues related to the implementation of the Association Agreement with the EU by Ukraine; development of scientific approaches to realization of potential opportunities of economic convergence for the development of relations between Ukraine and the EU within the framework of the Association Agreement, which will promote the reform of the national socio-economic sphere and modality of interaction; provision and optimization of Ukraine's participation in the European information space. The main methods of research are general scientific and special methods, in particular, methods of systemic, structural-functional, institutional, logical and historical analysis, classification and typology, comparative-legal, forecasting, economic-statistical, etc. The influence of the factor of the Russian Federation on the relations between Ukraine and the EU in the military-political and geopolitical plane is analyzed. The legal content of "Brexit" and its significance for Ukraine are determined. The advantages and disadvantages of the agreement on association between Ukraine and the European Union for the development of the national economy and domestic business are analyzed. The preconditions and consequences of the signing of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU for the sphere of science, technologies and innovations are outlined. The main models of the evaluation of the effectiveness of free trade zones within the framework of the Association Agreements with the EU are presented.
