The classification of known passive loop types is performed. The criteria are the following: the number of passive loops of the shielding system; type (shape) of passive loops used in the shielding system; the approach of cable line magnetic field shielding factor increasing. Features of shielding systems proposed by leading foreign scientific teams from Prysmian S.p.A (Milan, Italy), Politecnico di Torino (Turin, Italy), Seville University (Seville, Spain) are considered. The analysis of methods for shielding factor calculation is carried out. The analysis of the method for calculating the passive loop length given in the normative documents of the SE NEC Ukrenergo is carried out.
