Target of research: process theoretical and scientific-practical principles of scientific description of manuscript monuments, archival documents and documents of personal origin, creation of records and scientific reference resources of traditional and digital types for manuscript fonds as the sources of national historical and cultural heritage of Ukraine, introduce to modern science, broaden the communicational possibilities of wide range of users’ access to the multi-aspect retrospective and modern information, preserved in manuscript sources. Methodological base is the general scientific methods (systematic, structural, modeling, contrastive, classification, logical generalization and analogy), modern theory of network society, archeography, source studies and bibliology methods, as well as the methods related to the practical implementation of information technologies into the humanitarian sphere. Relevance of the research lies in the resolution of formation issues of modern communicative system in the area of spiritual heritage, manuscript constituent of libraries, libraries’ scientific space segment formation, actualization of great intellectual potential of manuscript information in the development of different spheres of science and culture. Results of the research: expected are substantial and multi-aspect source studies and codicological research of manuscript fonds, comprehensive scientific processing of unique by its contents and composition half-million stock of manuscript historical and cultural heritage of the 3th millennium B.
