At the third stage of the project, we used the current clamp recording to stimulate changes in the membrane potential of neurons. At this stage of the project, we simultaneously tested our electrophysiological equipment and equipment for digital fluorescence microscopy to assess the temporal resolution. To do this, we expressed fluorescent proteins in neurons that change fluorescence in the plasma membrane depending on the level of the membrane potential and developed software that can visualize these changes, similar to the calculated changes in QD fluorescence.
