The purpose of the work is to develop scientific bases for designing energy-efficient reactive power compensation devices and active power filters in electrical networks. Methods of research - theoretical and experimental studies of electromagnetic processes occurring in the electrical network, which are due to the work of nonlinear load or load that consumes reactive power. Performed research work on the study of processes occurring in an electrical network under the influence of nonlinear loads or loads that are consumers of reactive power. A mathematical modeling of a real electric network in combination with reactive power compensation devices, active filter-compensating devices with high energy efficiency has been carried out. The principles of construction of control systems for reactive power compensators and active power filters are developed. There are designed schemes and prototypes of reactive power compensation devices and active power filters with increased energy efficiency. Methods of optimization of power flow distribution in real time are developed. Technical decisions, which are the basis of the project, are protected by Ukrainian patents, are at the level of the best world analogues and are not inferior to their quality, but according to individual parameters exceed them. The results of the project can be disseminated to the power supply systems of industrial enterprises. Thus, it is possible to develop a complex of centralized control of consumers of electric energy, in particular synchronous machines, within the limits of a large industrial enterprise in order to minimize costs for payment of consumed electricity and bring the parameters of electricity quality in the enterprise network to modern European standards.
