Purpose: to determine the effectiveness of using black currant in obese children. Methods: biochemical, immunological, radioimmune, instrumental. Results: It was found that in 60% of obese children, the use of blueberry paste or lyophilized blueberry drink leads to lower total cholesterol, low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL cholesterol), atherogenicity factor (CA) with prolonged (not less than 3 months) use of this product. The share of patients with high and very high values of LDL cholestacy has almost tripled. Estimation of the dynamics of CA, indicating a probable decrease in its mean values in 60% of patients. Significant effects on the content of triglycerides and cholesterol of high density lipoprotein have not been established. Insulin resistance was reduced in 30% of blueberries and dietary and exercise regimens. Daily intake of 50 g of blueberry paste contributed to a decrease in the body weight index in girls (from 30.2 to 27.5), insulin resistance (IR) in boys (the dynamics of the NOMA index from 5.19 to 4.36). It is advisable to recommend blueberry paste for correction of lipid and carbohydrate metabolism disorders as an addition to the basic treatment. Novelty: For the first time, the effect of blueberry paste on the metabolism of obesity has been studied, an analysis of changes in lipidogram parameters, and IR in the consumption of blueberry paste has been performed.
