The purpose of the work is to determine the suitability of a combine harvester to harvest seeds of fiber flax. The subject of research is fiber flax slaughter, the processes of stems mowing, preparing trusts, collecting and obtaining fibrous raw materials, technical means for harvesting. The initial data for the substantiation of the technological process of obtaining flax seed on the root and the design of the combine harvester for the implementation of the proposed process are obtained. The research results allow the producers of flax fiber raw materials to significantly modernize the process of obtaining high quality flaxseed, including the use of the folding of stems on the root using the harvesting technology. The introduction of this operation in the technology of harvesting, which will ensure the production of more quantity of quality flaxseed seeds, will be substantiated and will allow to reduce production costs by 15-25% and increase the productivity of works by 30%.
