HEAT FLUX, BIOLOGICAL TISSUE, THERMOELECTRIC COOLING, COMPUTER SIMULATION, DYNAMIC MODE, OPTIMAL CONTROL, THERMOELECTRIC DEVICE. The object of investigation is heat-exchange processes in human organism and controlled influence on them of thermoelectric cooling and heating. The purpose of work is to develop a theory for the determination of optimal dynamic thermal processes at the interaction of medical instrument with the biological tissue of human bodu to achieve the necessary curative effect and their experimental verification on a series of relevant thermoelectric devices. Investigation methods include methods of mathematical physics for determination of the distribution of physical fields in the biological tissue of human body and in the working medium of thermoelectric converters, object-oriented computer simulation of thermal processes, computational methods, experimental methods of thermoelectricity and thermal physics. A physical model is developed and a mathematical description is made of a system that consists of thermoelectric heat pump, biological tissue and current control system. The boundary conditions are determined for the model, the properties of biological tissue, including phase transitions and heat-and-mass transfer. A system of equations is built for the description of the physical model in dynamic working conditions. Methods for solving the inverse problems in order to determine optimal current functions are developed. A theory of thermoelectric devices for creation of preset dynamic changes of temperature and heat fluxes in biological tissue is developed. The elaborated theory of optimal control of the dynamic heat processes when treating a person has no analogs in the world. For the first time, a theory of dynamic processes in medical equipment and methods of its realization in specific medical instruiments is constructed. The regularities of optimal control of dynamic thermal processes when treating a person with thermoelectric devices are obtained. A theory of thermophysical processes in human organism and a theory of thermal effect on the biological tissue of human body are developed. The regularities of heat exchange human processes are determined with regard to the influence of external thermal factors. Computer methods are developed for the determination of optimal current functions of thermoelectric modules in order to create optimal functions of change in the temperature and heat flux in the biological tissue. With the aid of computer simulation, the distributions of thermal fields in the biological tissue at the interaction with the working instrument of corresponding thermoelectric devices are obtained. The optimal design and the optimal dynamic operating modes of medical-purpose thermoelectric devices are determined.
