THERMOELECTRIC HEAT PUMP, COMPUTER SIMULATION, WATER PURIFICATION. The object of investigation is thermoelectric heat pump for water regeneration systems of space application. The subject of investigation is physical processes of energy conversion in thermoelectric heat pump for water regeneration systems of space application. The purpose of the work is development of high-performance thermoelectric heat pump with the limiting characteristics for water regeneration system of space application. In order to achieve this purpose, the following tasks were performed: the theoretical foundations for the development of thermoelectric heat pump with the distributed parameters were created and a mathematical model in the form of a system of differential equations with the corresponding limiting conditions was developed; on its basis, computer programs of multi-parameter optimization of thermoelectric heat pumps were created; the optimal thermal and electrical conditions for the operation of components (elementary sections) of thermoelectric heat pump were found that provide for its maximum integral efficiency with minimal mass and dimensional characteristics; technologies of specialized thermoelectric energy converters were developed; new optimized thermoelectric materials were created; integrated computer multi-parameter optimization was performed and a design of thermoelectric heat pump on its basis was developed; a sample of thermoelectric heat pump was manufactured and full cycle of research on its parameters and characteristics was conducted; marketing research was conducted on the possibility of promoting the developed products to the world market. The results of the work will provide a significant breakthrough in the development of the space and medical industry and will promote the development of related industries. The scientific and technical findings obtained at the implementation of the project outperform known analogs. The relevance of the problem of creating thermoelectric heat pumps with the limiting characteristics for water regeneration systems of space application is exceptionally high, since its solution provides opportunities for preparation of new piloted missions of deep space research, as well as missions on the orbital space stations. The availability of such devices which outperform the best foreign analogs contributes to participation of Ukraine in the long-term manned flights that are planned in other countries.
