The purpose of the work is to determine the energy parameters of the low-energy excited states of the 5He and 5Li nuclei whose excitation is carried out by decomposition into two particles (4Не + n), (4Не + р). The research methods are experimental kinematic complete and kinematically incomplete investigation of three-particle 2Н (4Не, p4Не) n, 3Н (4Не, d4Не) n reactions by analysis of inclusive and two-dimensional coincidences spectra obtained as a result of 4Не + (2Н, 3Н, 3Не) interactions. The refined energy characteristics of the first excited states 5He and 5Li are obtained. An analysis of the experimental data already obtained is based on the Monte Carlo modeling method. A comparison of the experimental energies and widths of the first excited states with the data of other authors and theoretical calculations has been made. The preliminary conditional experiment (modeling by the Monte Carlo method) allows us to establish optimal experimental conditions for the conduct of the second stage of new experimental studies and to significantly improve the quality of research and optimize the costs for them.
