The purpose of the work is to improve the methodology for determining the physiological state of foxes during the grass season in the conditions of modern animal husbandries of Ukraine taking into account the interaction of "genotype-environment". Based on the study of the interconnections of the sex cycle of fox foxes and environmental factors, microscopic analysis of cranial mucus cure, the method of determining the stage of the estrus in the foxes of cell proliferation has been improved. It was established that in the conditions of the Cherkassy regional consumer society the manifestation of sexual hunting in the females of the foxes of the cell contents is recorded from the second decade of February and lasts until the second decade of March. Females of the study group are characterized by high multiplicity, but the losses on the acquisition of young and the maintenance of infertile females reach 10%. The maximum correlation of reproductive capacity of foxes in the conditions of the meadow economy of the central part of Ukraine is indicated by the ambient temperature and solar activity during the course of the race. The use of microscopic evaluation of the stage of the estral cycle for cytological parameters of vaginal smears of females and their behavior during the race allows to objectively evaluate the fetus's readiness for reproduction.
