The purpose of the work is to analyse the current state of development of archival affairs and records keeping on the basis of information monitoring in order to prepare the actual scientifically substantiated information aimed at ensuring the information needs for archival institution fellows and the main directions of their activity. Research methods – general scientific research methods: classification, analysis and synthesis, informative, structural-system, statistical-analytical, etc. Results and their novelty – monitoring and analysis of domestic and foreign information resources on topical issues of archival affairs and document studies. The normative provision on digitization of archival documents in foreign countries and access to archival documents abroad has been researched and analysed. Two issues of the Branch Centre of STI Bulletin have been prepared (one issue in six months). Implementation information. The results of the study will promote effective information provision for the main activity directions for archival institutions of Ukraine, conducting of their scientific and methodological work, research in the scope of archival studies and records keeping, implementation of their results in practical activities, execution of state programmes in archival affairs and records keeping. Scope of implementation. Materials of the research will be implied in practical, research and methodological work of archives research fellows, higher educational establishments, and scientific institutions. Significance of work.
