The purpose of the work – due to the conducted scientific analysis of the main work areas of archival institutions of Ukraine and institutions included in the management of the State Archival Service of Ukraine, to determine the optimal planning and reporting indicators of their production activities and to make recommendations for the preparation and execution of their planning and reporting documentation. Methods of research – questionnaires, comparative analysis, scientific analysis and synthesis, modelling, structural and functional analysis, generalization. On the results of the research work, were developed the projects of planning and reporting documentation unified forms for archival institutions of Ukraine, recommendations for their compilation and arrangement for the State Archival Service of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Research Institute of Archival Affairs and Records Keeping, central state archives of Ukraine, the State Archives in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, state archives of oblasts, cities of Kyiv and Sevastopol, archival divisions (sectors) of rayon state administrations and city councils, branch state archives, the State Centre for Documents Preservation of the National Archival Holdings, the State Scientific Archival Library, Kyiv City, and the Directorate on exploiting the building complex of the Central State Archival Bodies of Ukraine.
