Biomethane production technological schemes from biogas with the use of the most widespread amine and aqueous absorption processes for extraction of carbon dioxide and hydrogen sulfide from biogas are considered. For amine process an effective absorbent is proposed - an aqueous solution of ethyldiethanolamine (40% MDEA) and monoethanolamine (10% MEA). This absorbent can be used for the pressure range in the absorption / desorption processes from atmospheric to 0.26 - 0.28 MPa. At the same time, the thermal load on the desorber reboiler is reduced by a factor of 1.5 to 4 compared to traditional monoethanolamine solutions. Comparison of energy costs for the production of biomethane using amines and the aqueous technology for cleaning biogas from CO2 and H2S shows that, taking into account the greater output of biomethane in the amine process, by 8-15% than with water absorption (CH4 loss due to dissolution in H2O) and the use of this difference in desorber amine reboiler, these costs are commensurable. Moreover, the water scrubber technology requires a significant amount of water (ecology, water resources) and, if necessary, the production of carbon dioxide, the amine process has the advantage, since the CO2 obtained in this process has a concentration of 98% vs. 80% when using aqueous absorption.
