The research objective: an establishment of influence of type of systems on the basic of Germanium monoxide on optical and operational characteristics of coatings received from them and a definition of optimum composition of a material. It is established that the basic products of high-temperature interaction in system GeO2-SiO of equimolar composition are SiO2 of quartz and christobalite modifications and elemental Germanium. Interaction in system GeO-GeO2 at 700°С causes bathocromic shift, broadening and change of intensity of absorption bands and occurrence of characteristic oscillations on spectral curves in an IR spectrum. By thermal evaporation in vacuum of the sample of Ge-GeO2 rather thin coating because of instability of process and the burning of evaporator is received. Research of the sample of system GeO-B2O3 has rendered the uttermost adaptability to manufacture of process of thermal evaporation in vacuum, and a coating received from it, has a satisfactory thickness both high optical and operational parameters. The experimental party of a material is made and the technological instruction of its reception is developed. From spectra of coating on plates from Germanium the transparency domain (0.7?11 microns) and a refractive index (~2.2) of GeO is established. Application of coatings from GeO in optical details on the basis of InAs instead of standard material SiO essentially (~by 5 %) reduces losses on reflectance. The coating from GeO has positively rendered itself as a part of a multilayered coating on a substrate from leukosapphire without destruction throughout long time.
