In the structure of the LPIS it is expedient to allocate three groups (actually VLIS, VLTSCH, VLAS) of landscape complexes. The difference between them lies in the peculiarities of the formation, functioning, development and, as a consequence, of the structure. As a result of our research, we identified the following main causes of accidents IP: violation of operating rules; partial or complete absence of design documentation; not performing repair of slopes of earth dams; improper regulation of the VLSI drain, resulting in IP operating more intensively than the project provides; Major repair of the IC, due to the terms of operation of the LPIS, is replaced by the current repair. In order to assess the state of the IP, it is necessary to take into account, in particular, the level of operation of the gateway system, the presence of damage to the soil and cape dam, the nature of the operation and the level of destruction of the flood (emergency) water drain.
