The effectiveness of application of surface preparation operations before coating is demonstrated, with the provision of various methods of porous structure with pore sizes in the range of 50-300 microns, which provides increased adhesion of coatings and accelerates the process of osteointegration. As an alternative to Ti-alloys, the main modern materials for the manufacture of endoprosthesis are Zr-alloys with less probability of manifestations of toxicity. It was established that the development of new composition of coatings with cermet and composite structure allows to increase the adhesion and cohesion strength of the coating layer while ensuring its improved biocompatibility. Examples of such developments are systems based on hydroxyapatite (HA) with titanium, calcium phosphates and silicates, oxides (TiO2, Al2O3, ZrO2). The perspective of application in the composition of biocompatible coatings of nanostructured materials - HA (20-30nm), TiO2 (10-30nm), a carbon nanotube that can enhance both mechanical properties and the osteoinductivity of the coatings. Determination of the requirements for microplasma biocompatible cermet coatings for implants and products for osteosynthesis was carried out on the basis of the analysis of existing international standards (ISO 13179 et al.) For the characteristics of biomedical coatings having HA and Ti, formulated a set of requirements governing the index of bond strength, characteristics porosity, phase composition of coatings.
