Aim - to investigate the process of electrochemical formation of protective and transition films in composite electrochemical coatings of electrodeposited electrodes from suspension electrolyte, and also to determine the photocatalytic characteristics of the resulting composites. The regularities of the formation of a film of cerium dioxide on the surface of the electrodeposited Fe/TiO2 composite coating by cathodic treatment in a solution of cereus methanesulfonate are studied. It has been confirmed that composite coatings of Fe/TiO2 with a protective film formed on their surface have a relatively high photocatalytic activity. New ideas about the processes of electrodeposition of oxide electrocatalysts on a matrix-photocatalyst with satisfactory electrical conductivity and increased catalytic activity due to the formation of titanium suboxides are obtained. A technique for controlled electrochemical synthesis of composite catalysts with a matrix-photocatalyst, on which metal or oxide coatings are applied as the active layer, and the theory of controlled electrochemical synthesis of composite catalysts of a combined type is developed.
