The mechanism of self-organization of particles of inorganic ion exchangers in polymers was studied: the limiting step is the diffusion of incorporated nanoparticles, and aggregation occurs when they adhere to a small formation. The influence of the incorporated particles on the porous structure of the polymeric component was studied: the native particles block the hydrophilic pores of the polymer, and the aggregated nanoparticles in the hydrophobic pores squeeze and stretch the hydrophilic pores. The deformation of the pores is due to the additional swelling pressure caused by the osmotic active centers in the hydrophobic pores. Transformation of the porous structure of the polymeric component leads to an accelerated transfer of ions in organo-inorganic ion-exchange materials.
