The investigated strains are thermotolerant and able to grow at temperature of 37-39 ° C. One of the representatives, the strain YTerm-1, is characterized by the highest specific growth rate at 39° C, the higher fermentation activity in a bioreactor on wheat-cornmeal at 30 and 37 0C. On the model of thermotolerant S. cerevisiae Yterm-1, it was shown the possibility of using the insertion mutagenesis to produce mutants of ethanol-producing yeast with an increased thermotolerance. The thermotolerant recombinant strains with an increased ethanol-tolerance were obtained.
