The purpose of the work is to resolve the methodological aspects of organizational and technical measures of layout and installation of technical means at customs terminals by theoretical justification of their choice and obtaining optimal combinations of complementary subsystems. The following scientific and technical results were obtained:      - the system of security measures has been developed and proposed;      - a systematic approach to the acquisition of technical means of customs terminals has been developed taking into account their features;      - the analytical dependencies between the elements of the "reliability of the TP" - "the cost of the technical system" are determined;      - the method of calculation of the optimal value of the multiplicity of the reservation of technical systems is proposed, depending on the level of protection of the objects.
