The purpose of the work is the development of improved methods and technical means for increasing the efficiency of power supply systems, improving the power quality, diagnosing the condition of electrical equipment, assessing losses arising from deteriorated power quality. Research methods - the mathematical apparatus of analysis and synthesis of automatic control systems action was used in the work; theory of linear and nonlinear electrical circuits; direct and inverse Fourier transform; mathematical apparatus for digital signal processing; methods of calculating processes in switchmode converters. The adequacy of the results of calculations is confirmed by their comparison with the results of experiments. A new approach to the creation of parallel active power filters with an increased rate of change of the output current and reduced power losses is proposed, which allows improving the quality of such equipment. A method is proposed for diagnosing asynchronous oil pump motors by analyzing the spectrum of vibration acceleration. A method for estimating economic losses during the operation of an induction motor in conditions of reduced power quality is proposed. The sphere of use is the electric power industry.
