The object of the research is the terminological vocabulary (terminology, terminological word-groups, formulas, phraseological locutions) which in traditional way of life was used to designate specific phenomena of traditional folk material and non-material culture. The objective of this research is creation of terminological dictionary on cultural traditions of Right-Bank Polissia as a basis for formation of Chornobyl research and informational fund on cultural heritage, and development of the Encyclopedic Dictionary of traditional Polissia culture. Scientific novelty of the research is that for the first time in Ukrainian ethnological science, the attempt to compile a dictionary, which was devoted to the terminology of ethnographic objects, phenomena and elements that represent various thematic sections of Right-Bank Polissia traditional folk culture, has been made. The array of new specific Polissia terminology, which is peculiar to both territories affected by the Chornobyl disaster and other areas of the region, will be introduced to the scientific turnover. During the reporting period of implementation of the research from 2015 to 2017, researchers carried out: analysis of state and directions of study of the problem, assessment of the informational potential of its source base; development of methodological fundamentals for the terminological dictionary; systematization of terminological material in the form of a register (list) of the vocabulary units used to designate the phenomena of various branches of traditional-domestic culture of the explored region; formulation of the definitions of key vocabulary units.
